DC Material Handler, Weekend Nights
About The Position
The DC Material Handler position is for Shift 991, with a working schedule of Thursday 6:00 pm–02:00 am, Friday & Saturday 6:00 pm–06:00 am, and Sunday 6:00 pm–02:00 am. The hourly wage for this position is $27.50 plus shift premiums. This role is located at our Fostoria, OH facility, where we manufacture products such as A&H Baking Soda, A&H Cat Litter, and A&H Unit Dose Detergent. The primary function of this role is to load and unload finished goods, stock transfer orders, and transfers to Church & Dwight customers and outside Distribution Centers, and to build pick pallets.
Requirements
- Minimum of a High School Diploma / GED is required.
- Minimum of six months of forklift experience.
- WMS experience is preferred.
- Working knowledge of material handling equipment.
- Lift 50 pounds consistently.
- Familiar with the plant food safety program and basic HACCP principles.
- Operate forklift in a safe and timely manner.
- Use safe operating procedures and judgment.
- Follow all facility rules to maintain quality and integrity of both raw materials and finished products.
- Work any shift during the week as well as weekends.
Nice To Haves
- WMS experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Operates sit down, stand up and pallet riders proficiently.
- Loads and unloads trailers and containers accurately and to specification.
- Builds pick pallets to pick list.
- Maintains necessary paperwork with a high degree of accuracy.
- Performs daily preventive maintenance inspections.
- Maintains a clean department by sweeping and dumping trash at the end of each shift.
- Works with Church & Dwight carriers and customers in a highly professional manner.
- Must be proficient in WMS to load or unload trucks in a timely manner.
- Read and understand the pick list by quantity, product type, lot codes, and product version codes to fill the customer’s order.
- Operate stretch wrapper to secure load on pallet.
- Familiar with the plant food safety program and basic HACCP principles.
- Work any shift during the week as well as weekends.
- Use safe operating procedures and judgment.
- Operate forklift in a safe and timely manner.
- Follow all facility rules to maintain quality and integrity of both raw materials and finished products.
