This role involves performing skilled and semi-skilled facility maintenance activities, including patching and painting walls, repairing floors, replacing lights, fixing racking, and setting up office furniture. A significant part of the job also includes troubleshooting, repairing, and performing preventive maintenance on conveyor equipment. The position requires meticulous documentation of all work order activities, including labor, parts, and inventory used, to maintain accurate records of maintenance performed. Adherence to safety protocols such as lockout-tag out and confined space procedures is mandatory. The technician will also be responsible for completing pass-down logs to communicate operational status to colleagues, troubleshooting and repairing controls, process controllers, control cabinets, power supplies, and field devices associated with the conveyor system. Utilizing system software for troubleshooting, trending, and monitoring conveyor equipment, developing innovative ideas for productivity and reliability, and entering data into the computerized maintenance management system are also key duties. Minor electrical work, such as running conduit and pulling wire, and performing analytical tests on conveyor systems with documentation of results are also part of the role.
