This role involves performing skilled and semi-skilled facility maintenance activities, including patching and painting walls, repairing floors and racking, and setting up office furniture. A significant part of the job includes troubleshooting, repairing, and performing preventive maintenance on conveyor equipment. The position requires meticulous documentation of all work order activities, including labor, parts, and inventory used, to maintain accurate records of maintenance performed. Safety is paramount, and the technician must strictly adhere to lockout-tag out procedures, confined space procedures, and other safety and environmental policies. Additionally, the role involves completing pass-down logs to communicate the operational status of facilities to colleagues, troubleshooting and repairing controls, process controllers, control cabinets, power supplies, and field devices associated with the conveyor system. Utilizing system software for troubleshooting, trending, and monitoring conveyor equipment is essential, as is developing and implementing innovative ideas to enhance productivity and reliability. Data entry into the computerized maintenance management system, performing minor electrical work like running conduit and pulling wire, and conducting analytical tests on conveyor systems with documented results are also key responsibilities.
