About The Position

Perform housekeeping and janitorial duties in all areas of the distribution center. This includes communicating custodial or housekeeping issues to the maintenance supervisor, assistant maintenance supervisor, or DC management team. The role also involves performing maintenance duties for the outside grounds of the distribution center buildings.

Requirements

1+ years’ experience in custodial duties in a building, hotel, or distribution center
Must be able to multitask and work well in a team environment

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
Basic knowledge of grounds keeping (i.e. lawn mowing, weeding, trimming, etc.) and facility maintenance and equipment
Basic experience in operating lawn mowers, weed trimmers, etc.
Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish is highly desired).

Responsibilities

Emptying trash containers and cardboard containers.
Sweeping all floor areas of the distribution center.
Operating floor scrubbing equipment and cardboard baler.
Maintaining all stations containing janitorial equipment.
Assisting the maintenance team in maintaining and organizing the tote repair area.
Maintaining supplies of paper products and hand cleaner in all restrooms and break room areas.
Assisting the maintenance department in maintaining building grounds such as snow removal, lawn mowing, and trash collection.
Assisting the maintenance team with general maintenance duties, as required.
Maintaining safety standards while operating and identifying unsafe practices and situations.
Performing all other duties as assigned.
