About The Position

DBT IOP Therapist Who Are We? Ryther is a recognized leader in behavioral health services for children, youth, young adults, and their families facing complex challenges. Depending on your experience your salary would be $69,000 - $84,000 (with an increase for being fully licensed, language skills, and having an SUDP/T). The schedule is Monday-Friday, working in-person until 7pm group-days (Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday), and in-person at least one other non-group day. At Ryther we believe in the importance of reducing barriers and meeting clients and families in their community. This opens access to care and allows clients/families to be in their natural and trusted environment while working toward recovery. Therefore, all our therapists see some or all their clients in the community. This includes meeting clients in public spaces, in their homes and in partnership sites (such as schools or drop-in centers).

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Psychology, social work, counseling, or related field.
  • Counselor with the Washington State Department of Health (DOH).
  • Full or Associate licensure in Mental Health Counseling, Social Work or Marriage and Family Therapy is appropriate.
  • Acceptance and ability to work with individuals and families with a variety of lifestyles, behaviors, cultural and spiritual practices with the ability to apply a social justice and equity lens to all aspects of this work.
  • Minimum one year experience working with youth
  • Minimum basic knowledge of DBT skills and theory of DBT
  • Evening availability a minimum of 3 nights per week.

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive therapeutic support services assisting children, youth, and families cope with complex behavior and mental health needs utilizing Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)
  • Develop initial psychosocial assessments, problems lists, and treatment plans
  • Provide required case management services and inter-agency collaboration
  • Provide 24-hour crisis services to clients
  • Running our DBT IOP groups
