The Database Administrator (DBA) & Software Administrator supports Candu Projects by ensuring the availability, performance, security, and integrity of Oracle, MSSQL and IBM Informix databases and associated enterprise applications. These systems enable critical project functions including capital planning, project controls, asset creation, procurement, regulatory reporting, and Document Control. Your role Database Administration: Install, configure, administer, and upgrade Oracle, MSSQL and IBM Informix databases databases supporting project systems. Ensure high availability and performance of databases supporting: Project controls, cost tracking, and scheduling. Document Control. Materials, procurement, and contract management. Construction documentation and records keeping. Implement and maintain backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies aligned with reliability standards. Monitor database health, performance, and storage growth across multi‑year programs. Manage database security, access controls, and data segregation to meet regulatory, audit, and cybersecurity requirements. Perform SQL tuning, indexing, and configuration optimization for high‑volume transactional and reporting workloads. Plan and execute patches, fixes, and upgrades in accordance with change management and outage windows. Support internal and external audits, compliance reviews, and data retention obligations. Develop and maintain database documentation, standards, and operational runbooks. Software & Application Administration: Administer enterprise and project‑centric applications used in utility capital delivery, including: Perform application installations, upgrades, patches, and configuration changes with minimal impact to active projects. Monitor application performance, batch processing, interfaces, and reporting cycles critical to utility governance. Support integrations with ERP, asset management, document management, scheduling, and reporting platforms. Manage application access for corporate, project, and field users in accordance with utility security policies. Coordinate with vendors, system integrators, and internal stakeholders for issue resolution and enhancements. Support testing, cutovers, and deployments for new projects and capital program rollouts. Project & Operational Support: Ensure system stability during key project phases such as mobilization, peak construction, commissioning, and in‑service transitions. Participate in incident management, root cause analysis, and service restoration affecting capital project delivery. Collaborate with engineering, construction, operations, IT infrastructure, and cybersecurity teams.
