Daytime Ice Cream Host
About The Position
Stew Leonard’s, a family-owned and operated fresh food store founded in 1969, has locations in Connecticut, New York, and New Jersey. Stew’s earned its nickname, the “Disneyland of Dairy Stores” because of its country-fair atmosphere, with costumed characters and animated entertainment throughout the store that keep children entertained while parents shop. This position involves interacting directly with customers at the service bars and providing assistance by answering product questions, offering recommendations, weighing and pricing product ordered by customer at service bar in the Ice Cream Department.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years and older
- Safely use tools and equipment used in the daily operation of department
- Great customer service
- Good oral communication

Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers and answering questions
- Selecting, packaging, and pricing products ordered by customers at the service bar
- Clean equipment including ice cream machines
- Operate cash register and receive payment in various forms
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Adhere to all health, sanitation, and safety regulations while preparing and serving products.
- Assist in maintaining and restocking cases
- Assist in other duties, as assigned
