DAYTIME HOST (M-F) - Burger Avon
About The Position
Max Burger, located in Avon, CT, is seeking an enthusiastic and friendly Daytime Host to join their opening team. This role requires availability Monday-Friday from 11 am to 3 pm. The ideal candidate is passionate about providing outstanding guest service, creating a welcoming atmosphere in a lively, fast-paced environment, and contributing to an exceptional dining experience. Max Hospitality is committed to delivering high-quality food, creative menus, and outstanding service. Max Burger is known for its gourmet burgers, hand-cut fries, boozy milkshakes, and casual, fun atmosphere, attracting a diverse crowd. The ideal candidate will have a warm, engaging personality and a strong commitment to guest service and teamwork.
Requirements
- Prior experience as a Host or in a guest-facing role is preferred
- Familiarity with reservation systems such as OpenTable is a plus
- Experience working in a high-energy, casual dining environment is a plus
- Strong communication skills with a polished phone manner
- Friendly, engaging, and professional personality
- Ability to multitask and stay organized in a busy, fast-paced environment
- A positive outlook and team-player attitude
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage guest concerns with professionalism
- Ability to maintain a clean and organized work environment while providing excellent service
Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome guests as they arrive, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere
- Manage dining room reservations and coordinate seating to ensure smooth service flow
- Assist with to-go orders, ensuring accuracy and timely execution
- Provide special services for diners celebrating special occasions
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the front-of-house area
- Collaborate with the team to ensure timely seating and delivery of excellent guest experiences
- Assist with event coordination and special requests as directed by management
- Contribute to the overall positive environment of the restaurant by working well with the team and providing excellent service
- Support the team with additional tasks as needed, including assisting with training and guest requests
