About The Position
The Learning Experience – Cascade is seeking a dependable Daycare Teacher to support classrooms serving infants, toddlers, and preschool-aged children. This role focuses on creating a nurturing and engaging environment where children build confidence, independence, and early learning skills through structured routines and hands-on experiences. This position is ideal for candidates who enjoy working with young learners in a collaborative and supportive childcare setting.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required
- Prior childcare experience preferred
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Reliable, patient, and nurturing approach to working with children
- Must meet Michigan childcare licensing requirements
Responsibilities
- Support daily classroom routines and learning activities across age groups
- Create a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment
- Encourage social, emotional, and cognitive development through play-based learning
- Guide children through transitions including meals, rest time, and learning centers
- Assist with classroom preparation and activity setup
- Communicate professionally with families and teaching team members
- Follow Michigan childcare licensing requirements and center policies
