About The Position
We are hiring for Lead and Floater Teachers at a child care center. All positions are year-round permanent roles. Requirements
- At least 18 years of age
- High School Diploma or GED
- 1 year of experience working in a licensed childcare facility
- CDA or degree in Early Childhood Education or Elementary Education (required for Lead Teacher positions)
Nice To Haves
- OCFS certification preferred
Responsibilities
- Develop a careful and creative program suitable for specific age groups of children
- Employ a variety of educational techniques (storytelling, educational play, media, etc.) to teach children
- Guide children to develop their artistic and practical capabilities through a carefully constructed curriculum
- Organize nap and snack hours and supervise children to ensure they are always safe
- Track children’s progress and communicate with parents regularly
- Maintain a clean and tidy classroom consistent with health and safety standards
