About The Position
We are seeking a caring, energetic, and responsible Daycare Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will create a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment where young children can learn, grow, and develop socially, emotionally, and cognitively.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent (required)
- Previous experience working with young children (daycare, preschool, or similar setting preferred)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Patience, creativity, and a passion for working with children
- Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
Nice To Haves
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education preferred
- Knowledge of child development principles
- Classroom management skills
- Strong observation and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to create engaging learning activities
Responsibilities
- Supervise and ensure the safety and well-being of children at all times
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities, lessons, and playtime
- Support children’s emotional and social development
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom environment
- Assist children with basic needs, including feeding, toileting, and hygiene
- Monitor and document children’s progress and behavior
- Communicate effectively with parents/guardians about daily activities and development
- Enforce daycare policies and adhere to health and safety regulations
- Collaborate with other staff members to create a positive team environment
