About The Position
The Daycare Housekeeper supports the childcare center by maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly environment where children can learn and grow. The role includes janitorial work throughout the building, classrooms, and playground; cleaning school equipment, furniture, fixtures, walls, restrooms, and windows; managing trash; and helping with seasonal decorations and displays.
Requirements
- Be comfortable working around children.
- Be willing to learn and grow in a team environment.
- Meet state education requirements and the center or school’s requirements.
Responsibilities
- Keep the building, classrooms, and playground clean, safe, and orderly.
- Complete janitorial tasks such as vacuuming, mopping, dusting, cleaning windows, and cleaning restrooms.
- Gather and empty trash.
- Clean school equipment, furniture, fixtures, and walls.
- Clean restrooms and refill dispensers.
- Help put up and remove seasonal decorations and displays throughout the year.
