About The Position

The Learning Experience – BORDENTOWN, NJ is seeking a Preschool Cook who loves to cook, loves kids, and loves making people happy. At The Learning Experience, we believe Happy Happens Here —and that happiness starts with delicious, nutritious meals made with love! This role involves preparing fresh, healthy, and delicious meals for preschoolers, managing food allergies, following safety procedures, maintaining inventory, and bringing a positive attitude. The cook will also have the opportunity to help in classrooms when needed. This is a great opportunity to fuel little minds and contribute to a joyful and engaging early education environment.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 1+ year of food preparation/cooking experience
• Food handling certification—or willingness to obtain within 90 days
• ServSafe certification—or willingness to obtain
• Ability to lift at least 25 lbs.
• Someone dependable, flexible, positive and ready to have FUN!

Responsibilities

• Prepare fresh, healthy & delicious meals for our preschoolers
• Create meals that meet nutritional requirements
• Carefully manage food allergies and communicate with teachers
• Follow food safety, sanitation & storage procedures
• Help maintain inventory and order food & supplies
• Bring a positive attitude and great customer service every day
• Jump into the classrooms and lend a helping hand when needed
