About The Position

Join Loffredo Fresh Foods as a Full Time Day Warehouse Selector based out of our Des Moines Branch. We are a local, family-owned food and produce distributor that has proudly served the Midwest region for over 130 years. We distribute to 11 different states across our 6 locations. As a Day Warehouse Selector, you will play a crucial role in our operations by ensuring that all customer orders are accurately picked and loaded on trucks to be shipped internally and externally. You will be responsible for navigating the warehouse, receive/unload inbound freight, and use warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts to build pallets. Your attention to detail and efficiency will help maintain the high standards of service our customers expect.

Requirements

Able to work in a refrigerated environment for 8+ hours
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. frequently and 75+ lbs. occasionally
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Able to take direction from all levels of management
Ability to work independently within a team setting
Must be able to read, write, and speak English for the automated headset

Nice To Haves

Previous warehouse and pallet jack experience preferred

Responsibilities

Safely operate warehouse equipment at all times and follow all safety guidelines
Receive/Unload inbound freight and put away
Accurately select and pack orders for shipment, both internally and externally
Maintain a clean and organized work environment
Perform all other assigned duties
