About The Position

The Day Warehouse Janitor is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation in the warehouse facilities of the company. This position ensures that the warehouse floor, equipment, and storage areas are kept clean, organized, and free of debris. The Day Warehouse Janitor plays a vital role in creating a safe and hygienic working environment for warehouse staff.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Knowledge of cleaning techniques, equipment, and supplies.
Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects.
Attention to detail and strong time management skills.
Good communication and teamwork abilities.

Previous experience in janitorial or custodial roles preferred.

Responsibilities

Clean floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming them.
Gather and empty trash, consolidate trash for weekly pickup.
Service, clean, and supply restrooms.
Clean walls, racks, and equipment.
Mix water and detergents or acids in containers to prepare cleaning solutions, according to specifications.
Clean and restore building interiors using commercial cleaning equipment.
Clean different surfaces using solvents, brushes, rags, and power cleaning equipment.
Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment, in order to prevent damage to floors and fixtures.
Monitor building security and safety by performing such tasks as locking doors after operating hours.
Move furniture, equipment, and supplies, either manually or by using hand trucks.
Notify managers concerning the need for major repairs or additions to building operating systems.
Remove snow from sidewalks, driveways, and parking areas, using snow blowers, and snow shovels, and spread snow melting chemicals.
Set up, arrange, and remove decorations, tables, chairs, ladders, and scaffolding to prepare facilities for events such as banquets and meetings.
Must be experienced or able to get certified in operating a Rider Jack.
