About The Position

Day Treatment Aides play a vital role in supporting a trauma-informed environment by providing consistent social, emotional, and behavioral support to youth enrolled in our day treatment program. Day Treatment Aides work directly with youth, offering supervision, implementing individualized treatment plans, and helping to maintain a safe, structured, and supportive setting.

Requirements

  • 21 years old or older
  • Must pass criminal record and child abuse registry background check as required by the State of Montana.
  • High School Diploma or GED & 2 years of experience working with youth in a similar setting or environment.
  • OR Bachelor’s degree in mental health related field of study.
  • Ability to relate and build rapport with youth therapeutically while serving as a positive role model.
  • Knowledge of, and ability to maintain professional therapeutic boundaries and confidentiality.
  • Possess the ability to work with youth in multiple settings, such as individually and in groups.
  • Ability to work in cooperation and collaboration with the treatment team.
  • Display regular, predictable, and reliable attendance at work.
  • Excellent active listening skills
  • The ability to complete forms within an electronic Medical Health Record System typing at least thirty-five words per minute while using a keyboard and mouse.
  • Demonstrate sound & ethical judgment and decision-making skills.
  • Demonstrate being self-motivated, self-disciplined, and diligent with forward thinking.
  • Demonstrate the ability to think of their team over self and define success collectively rather than individually.
  • The ability to effectively interact and communicate with others.
  • Demonstrate the following values: Faith, Integrity, Relationship, Stewardship.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office 365 products is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Develop individualized intervention planning based on assessments and incorporate evidence-based strategies.
  • Provide direct care and supervision for youth in day treatment school setting.
  • Collaborate with treatment teams, supervisors, and community partner educators to develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans and support youth’s complex needs.
  • Create and conduct necessary documentation accurately and maintain documentation expectations in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
  • Contribute to the strategic goals and outcomes of the agency as measured by the development and achievement of individual, departmental, and organizational goals, and outcomes.
  • Participate in Performance Quality Improvement (PQI) goals of the organization, both individually and as a team member.
  • Deal constructively and helpfully with all other members of the organization.
  • Fully support and model the mission and values of YBGR.
  • Adhere to all policies, systems, safety requirements, and procedures of the organization.
  • Willingness and ability to obtain certification in First Aid/CPR and Violence Intervention Prevention.
