About The Position

This position supports the work of the Y, a leading nonprofit committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. Cleans and improves the YMCA facilities and equipment, including preventative maintenance to cleaning equipment.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a custodian position.
• Working knowledge of cleaning equipment and other maintenance-related tools/equipment.
• CPR, First Aid and AED certifications required within 30 days of employment.
• Ability and current license to drive with record that meets YMCA standards.
• Ability to respond to safety and emergency situations.

Responsibilities

• Provides overall facility cleaning and keeps supervisor aware of product inventory.
• Checks the proper operation of all cleaning equipment.
• Completes cleaning work and projects in a timely manner.
• Works in an efficient manner and as a team member with other custodial staff.
• Makes supervisor aware of cleaning issues and anything in need of repair or replacement.
• Ensures that assigned equipment is maintained and operated in accordance with the policies and procedures of the YMCA.
• Snow Removal and Lawn Care as Needed
• Performs other duties as assigned.
