About The Position

Hope House Treatment Center is a non-profit dual diagnosis treatment center with locations in Crownsville and Laurel, Maryland. We are dedicated to providing men and women who are battling drug and alcohol addictions with the means to become healthy and productive citizens, equipped with the tools for a life of sobriety and recovery. We are staffed by a caring, experienced team of professionals that include addiction trained nurses, a physician, certified counselors, associate counselors, and treatment aides. We provide medical and nursing care twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week. Hope House Treatment Center is seeking a Facilities Porter/ Custodial Staff to support projects, both exterior and interior.

Requirements

• A High School Diploma or GED equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Performs assigned facility maintenance activities to include regular maintenance on all equipment, the building, and grounds.
• Identifies facility problems and reports needed repairs to Facilities Supervisor in a timely fashion.
• Responds to assigned work orders in a timely manner.
• Provides direct transportation when required.
• Performs housekeeping duties as assigned, including but not limited to: Dusting and polishing furniture and fixtures, Cleaning and sanitizing toilets, showers/tubs, countertops, and sinks, Keep bathroom and washrooms stocked with appropriate toiletries, Maintaining clean and sanitary public and private spaces, Bed turn overs which include making beds and changing linens, Washing windows and mirrors, Vacuuming, sweeping, or mopping to keep clean floors, Sorting, washing, loading, unloading, and folding linens and towels, Monitoring cleaning supplies and requesting more as needed.
• Reporting any necessary repairs or replacements
• Other duties as assigned.
