About The Position

MRCI is hiring a full-time Day Service Specialist to develop and implement community-based, person-centered day service plans for individuals with disabilities. The specialist builds relationships with the individuals they support, their teams, and the broader community. The role includes planning activities, providing direct support, documenting services, transporting clients, and using technology for community outreach and daily work. The position is based in the service area near Apple Valley, Lakeville, or Burnsville, and offers some schedule flexibility.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Compassion and sensitivity toward individuals with disabilities.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with computer-based office software.
• Must live within 15 miles of the service area.
• Valid driver's license and space to park the company vehicle overnight.
• Home workspace with reliable internet and privacy.
• Must pass a Department of Human Services background study.

Nice To Haves

• Sales and/or customer service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate individualized community activities that promote independence and social interaction.
• Provide direct support to clients, including personal care, medication administration, and use of adaptive equipment.
• Document daily progress and services provided.
• Transport clients using a company-provided vehicle.
• Engage in community outreach and use technology to support the work.
• Work independently and collaboratively with a supportive team.
