The Day Program Team Supervisor role is for an energetic self-starter who can aggressively grow the program and provide exceptional care. The supervisor is responsible for core administrative functions, including supporting billing and quality assurance, leading a team of direct care providers and at-risk adults, and creating community opportunities for the day program. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field or 3 years of experience in related field
  • Must have experience in the I/DD field
  • Must be at least 18 years of age due to driving requirements
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • Able to perform the physical demands of the position

Nice To Haves

  • 1-2 years management experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate scheduling to facilitate work for all employed individuals in services
  • Staff management
  • Maintain supplies and equipment
  • Effectively coordinate program to account for potential threats, opportunities, strengths and weaknesses
  • Demonstrate understanding of applicable rules and regulations and ensure program is managed per requirements
  • Establish organized systems to increase overall efficiency of program and/or agency
  • Strive toward ongoing development of program to establishment preferred-agency status within the community
  • Seek out new responsibilities to assist in program development and remain an active member of a team-based approach
  • Ensure all individuals paperwork and tracking meet expectations for successful billing, potential claims testing, and auditing requirements
  • Assist in creating and implementing work skills curriculum and job skill training for people with disabilities to enable successful employment
  • Successful supervision and management of employees
  • Respond to emergencies involving at-risk adults within program and be available “on-call” as defined for position, and assist in coverage for daily schedule needs
  • Maintain a positive attitude and calm demeanor during difficult situations, modeling effective crisis management and problem solving for staff as well as people with disabilities
  • Managing the weekly transport schedule in programs
  • Assisting with DVR Billing Tasks
  • Maintain responsibility for daily and weekly staff schedule to ensure consistency, safety, and efficiency of groups
  • Continually reassess program to create capacity for program growth and development
  • Collaborate with IDT members and other Sample Supports employees to increase programming opportunities for people with disabilities
  • Establish presence at day program office and community locations during regular program hours to support at-risk adults and staff as needed and ensure smooth transition periods
  • Model effective client interactions including setting boundaries and expectations, following through with incentives and goal setting, and providing physical intervention to at-risk adults as needed
  • Be available for emergencies as needed involving persons within program
  • Create and retain marketing techniques and outreach opportunities to build program, including responding to RFPs to increase client caseload and facilitating new work and volunteer opportunities
  • Provide effective supervision for day program employees to support professional growth and maintain employee morale
  • Oversee administrative responsibilities of the program, including employment training and supervision files, client paperwork, and other program requirements needed to meet local, state, and federal regulations
  • Successfully maintain program budget, ensuring target financial goals are met
