About The Position

The Direct Support Professional in the day program works hand in hand with individuals in workplace, training, and community settings to help ensure they are safe, respected, mentored, and having fun. The role creates opportunities for individuals to increase their quality of life and may include activities such as going to movies, fishing, bowling, and playing games. Direct Support Professionals also serve as teachers, mentors, and friends.

Requirements

Must pass a criminal background check.
Must be at least 18 years old and have a high school diploma or GED.
Must be at least 21 years old to meet the driving requirement.
Must be able to drive a company vehicle and remain eligible to drive under the Chrysalis Driving Requirement Policy.
Must communicate well verbally and in writing.
Must be able to complete assigned program documentation accurately and within allotted time frames.
Must have good judgment and be able to handle crisis situations.
Must have a positive attitude.
Must have experience as a direct support professional.
