About The Position

NeuroRestorative, a part of the Sevita family, provides rehabilitation services for people of all ages with brain, spinal cord and medically complex injuries, illnesses and other challenges. In a variety of locations and community-based settings, we offer a range of programs, including vocational and therapy programs, day treatments, and specialized services for infants, children, adolescents, Military Service Members and Veterans. This role works with our Recreational Therapist to provide support to our clients and focuses on planning and attending community outings and volunteering opportunities. This role requires excellent communication skills, the ability to follow instructions, and a genuine heart for caring.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Six months experience in the human services field (technical, paid or volunteer)
• Valid, non-probationary driver’s license with no restrictions or provisions
• Successful background check clearance
• Caring attitude and dedication to supporting others
• Ability and willingness to safely bend and lift to assist clients
• Proof of valid driver’s license held for at least one year with good driving record
• Ability to attend orientation and training

Responsibilities

• Assist with personal hygiene and physical cares
• Help transport clients to community outings and volunteer opportunities utilizing company vehicles as needed
• Support wheelchair assistance and safe transportation
• Provide companionship and meaningful conversation
• Ensure overall safety and well-being of clients
• Use proper lifting and bending techniques to physically support clients
