About The Position

As a Day Program Assistant, you will provide essential support and companionship to our clients, helping them live safely and comfortably. This role requires excellent communication skills, the ability to follow instructions, and a genuine heart for caring.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• 6 months to 1 year of experience in human services or caregiving preferred
• Valid, non-probationary driver’s license with no restrictions or provisions
• Minimum age: 21 years
• Successful background check clearance
• Caring attitude and dedication to supporting others
• Ability and willingness to safely bend and lift to assist clients
• Proof of non-probationary driver’s license held for at least one year
• Ability to attend orientation (Tuesday–Friday, Daytime)

Nice To Haves

• Additional $0.50/hour for 1–4 years of experience
• Additional $1.00/hour for 5+ years of experience

Responsibilities

• Assist with bathing, toileting, and personal hygiene
• Transport clients to appointments utilizing company vehicles
• Prepare meals and perform light housekeeping
• Support wheelchair assistance and safe transportation
• Provide companionship and meaningful conversation
• Ensure overall safety and well-being of clients
• Use proper lifting and bending techniques to physically support clients
