Day Porter
About The Position
Pritchard Industries is hiring a Day Porter to maintain a school building and its facilities in a healthy, safe, and sanitary manner. Duties include vacuuming, mopping and sweeping floors; operating a floor machine; removing trash; cleaning restrooms and break rooms; and performing other miscellaneous duties. The ideal candidate has a professional attitude and appearance and is proactive, hardworking, dependable, and responsible. This is a full-time position for 32 hours per week, Monday through Thursday. Summer hours are 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Fall-to-spring hours are 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Fridays are not work days. Pay is $18.74 per hour. Pritchard Industries participates in E-Verify.
Requirements
- Able to follow instructions from a supervisor and complete all tasks effectively.
- Able to work the adjusted schedule specified in the posting.
- Able to use a walk-behind floor machine.
- Able to lift at least 50 pounds.
- Reliable transportation.
- Professional attitude and appearance; proactive, hardworking, dependable, and responsible.
Nice To Haves
- Prior cleaning experience is a plus.
- Janitorial experience is a plus; training will be provided.
