About The Position

The Day Porter is directly responsible for cleaning, sanitizing, and maintaining assigned areas in accordance with established practices and procedures and company and client quality and safety standards. The role may require frequent interaction with clients. The employee monitors and inspects work areas during and after duties to verify compliance with site-specific procedures, scope of work, and Servicon standards, and participates in training on safety, cleaning methods, and equipment preventive maintenance.

Nice To Haves

Two years of custodial cleaning experience or equivalent.
High school diploma or GED equivalent.

Responsibilities

Monitor and inspect assigned work areas during and after completing duties to verify compliance with site-specific procedures, scope of work, and Servicon standards.
Participate in training on safety regulations and procedures, efficient and cost-effective cleaning methods, and equipment preventive maintenance.
Empty, clean, and damp-wipe waste receptacles; remove waste paper and rubbish to designated areas.
Vacuum rugs and carpeted areas in offices, lobbies, and corridors.
Hand-dust and wipe office furniture, file cabinets, fixtures, paneling, windowsills, air-conditioning diffusers, wall grilles, and other horizontal surfaces.
Remove fingerprints and smudges from vertical surfaces, including doors, doorframes, light switches, private entrance glass, and partitions.
Damp-mop or clean spills in offices, stairwells, and public areas as required.
Keep the janitor’s closet clean, neat, and orderly.
Sweep or dust-mop hard floor surfaces.
Perform other jobs and duties as identified or assigned as needed.
