About The Position

The Day Porter performs a variety of custodial duties for C&W Services under the supervision of a Custodial Manager or Supervisor, following the company’s established standards, instructions, and procedures. Duties include cleaning and dusting furniture, exhibit cases, pictures, chairs, door trim, light fixtures, and other surfaces; cleaning windowsills and interior glass; and cleaning entrance-door glass and trim. The role also includes daily bathroom and locker-room cleaning and restocking, monitoring and reporting defects, collecting and disposing of trash, replacing liners, and completing periodic tasks such as high dusting, polishing non-floor leather and wood surfaces, washing walls, and dusting Venetian blinds. Other duties may be assigned as needed. Eligible employees may also receive competitive pay. Compensation depends on factors including work location, collective bargaining agreement coverage, market rates, experience, and qualifications. Requirements

Basic cleaning responsibilities require no previous experience.
Must be able to take direction, work with minimal supervision, and function cooperatively as part of a team.
Ability to use cleaning tools and equipment.
Attention to detail, pride in delivering excellent service, organization, and high levels of energy and endurance.

Responsibilities

Clean and dust furniture, exhibit cases, pictures, chairs, door trim, light fixtures, and other horizontal surfaces, including periodic high dusting.
Clean windowsills and glass in interior doors, partitions, and specified windows.
Clean glass and trim at entrance doors, both interior and exterior.
Clean bathrooms and locker rooms and restock paper supplies daily.
Monitor for defects such as clogged toilets and lights that are out, and report them to supervisors.
Collect trash daily, place it in approved containers, and move it to the designated collection area for removal.
Replace liners in waste baskets and trash containers according to specifications.
Perform periodic tasks, including high dusting, polishing non-floor leather and wood surfaces, washing walls, and dusting Venetian blinds, as assigned.
Perform other duties as needed.
