Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to follow safety protocols and operate cleaning equipment safely.
  • Physical capability to perform manual labor including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality.
  • Strong attention to detail and time management skills.
  • Physical stamina and manual dexterity.
  • Communication skills enable the Day Porter to report facility issues clearly and coordinate with maintenance or supervisory staff.
  • Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and safety protocols ensures the proper use of materials while maintaining a safe environment.
  • Problem-solving skills help the Day Porter address unexpected cleanliness or maintenance challenges promptly to minimize operational disruptions.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in janitorial, custodial, or facility maintenance roles preferred.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Basic knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and trash removal in designated areas throughout the manufacturing facility.
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of restrooms, break rooms, and common areas to ensure a hygienic environment for all employees.
  • Monitor facility conditions and report any maintenance or safety concerns to the appropriate personnel promptly.
  • Restock supplies such as paper towels, soap, and other consumables in restrooms and break areas as needed.
  • Assist with minor maintenance tasks such as changing light bulbs, replacing filters, and ensuring equipment cleanliness to support facility operations.
