About The Position

LEGOLAND CA is seeking a part-time Day Park Ranger to join their team. The role involves maintaining a safe and secure environment for guests and employees, observing all safety and security procedures, and providing excellent customer service. The Park Ranger will be responsible for completing injury/incident reports and ensuring safety and security compliance throughout the Resort. This position requires a high level of communication, reasoning, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to remain calm under pressure. The ideal candidate must be at least 18 years of age, possess a valid driver's license with a safe driving record, and be willing to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and graveyard shifts.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Must have a valid Driver’s License with a safe driving record.
  • Must be willing to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, holidays and graveyard to support park operations.
  • Must have current CA Guard Card or the ability to obtain one before starting.
  • Must have a valid CPR/First Aid/AED certification or the ability to obtain one before starting.
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and in high stress situations.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a safe and secure environment for guests and Model Citizens (MCs).
  • Observe all Safety and Security procedures.
  • Provide a high level of customer service to all MCs and guests.
  • Complete injury/incident reports.
  • Ensure safety and security compliance throughout the Resort.
  • Maintain access control.
  • Patrol Park, Hotel, Sea Life Aquarium, and all employee areas.
  • Write detailed and accurate incident/injury reports.
  • Respond to calls for service including disturbances, lost children, intoxicated/disorderly persons, lost/stolen items, theft, vandalism, on-property traffic collisions, medical incidents, fire/panic alarms, money escorts, key assists, and suspicious person reports.
  • Operate Park Dispatch Center utilizing CAD operating system.
  • Conduct surveillance of the Resort utilizing CCTV system.
  • Perform guest screening at park entrances (bag checks).
  • Conduct employee/vendor exit screening.
  • Investigate and document instances of theft, ticket scalping, or related issues in conjunction with the Profit Protection team.
  • Provide surveillance in both uniform and plain clothes.
  • Respond to guest disturbances and deescalate situations.
  • Provide CPR, basic First Aid, and AED use to guests and MCs when necessary.
  • Record “Near Miss” incidents and enter them into the reporting system.
  • Assist with Facility Inspections and Safety Audits.
