About The Position

The Day-Off Relief Production Operator is responsible for providing production coverage when regularly scheduled employees are absent or taking scheduled days off. This position supports safe, efficient, and continuous production operations by performing a variety of production duties across assigned areas and operating equipment according to established procedures and quality standards.

Requirements

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must be able to stoop, kneel, and squat for several minutes at a time
• Must be able to stand on feet for at least a two hour consecutive time period
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds (50) pounds
• Must be able to enter into confined spaces
• Ability to reach with hands and arms, and talk and hear
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perceptions and ability to adjust focus

Nice To Haves

• Previous manufacturing, production, food processing, or equipment operating experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work well with other employees
• Follow and understand all of the “Standard Operating Procedures”
• Obtain a pasteurizer’s license within three attempts
• Obtain a forklift operators license
• Pasteurize milk and milk products according to the law
• HTST clean-up, starter maker, vat operator, belts, curd unloader, RMC operator, sanitation clean-up, brine operator, rework, packaging, dry cookers
• Responsible for maintaining a clear, orderly, and neat work area
• Adhere to the Saputo code of ethics and actively apply the Saputo values.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
