Day Mechanic Shop Helper– Full-Time

Sweeping Corp of America is seeking a mechanically inclined Shop Helper. This is a career entry-level job that will support mechanical technicians by retrieving parts for repair and other duties as assigned. Requirements
- Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record
- Prior delivery/driving experience
- Mechanical aptitude and industry experience preferred
- Moderate lifting - no greater than 40 lbs.; moderate reaching, pushing, pulling, gripping, and grasping
- No fine manipulation or fine manual dexterity required
- Ability to stand for a full shift in addition to walking, climbing stairs and bending as required
- Occasional exposure to extreme temperatures
- May be exposed to solvents, chemicals, and refuse
- May be exposed to other risks associated with working around machines, tools, and trucks-CDL related
Responsibilities
- Maintain the cleanliness of trucks and support equipment
- Maintain cleanliness and safety of the shop and yard
- Prioritize multiple parts pick-up and deliveries
- Ability to respond to emergency pick-up and delivery
- Pays attention to details and observe safety precautions
- Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record
- Able to identify correct parts, based on part number and shelf location
- Assist with inventory control
- Help technicians as necessary
- Other duties as assigned
