About The Position
Join ChildServe as a Day Habilitation Specialist M-F, daytime hours, paying $18/hr! The Day Habilitation Specialist supports the skill development for young adults. This team member will provide or assist with care needs and supervision in a group setting.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Pass criminal and child abuse background checks
- Have a high school diploma preferred
- Must qualify as a ChildServe authorized driver, including passing motor vehicle and car safety checks, providing valid license and insurance, and obtaining a chauffeur’s license if required
- Strong oral and written communication skills for accurate documentation
- Ability to read, write, and speak English effectively for clear communication and documentation
Nice To Haves
- Experience with or knowledge of children with special health care needs preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide direct care and assist assigned individuals with accessing the community and increasing independence with communication, socialization and daily living skills
- Implement individual’s care plans and provide ongoing feedback regarding additional or changing care plan needs to child’s supervisor or Day Hab Supervisor
- Required to become certified for medication administration, seizures, and g-tube feedings as well as other specialized trainings as identified
- Assure timely and accurate documentation
