About The Position

This position is for a Seasonal Day Custodian at Steamboat Ski & Resort Corporation, known as "the friendliest mountain destination on the planet." The role involves providing clean and sanitary facilities for guests and staff. Professional cleaning experience is preferred, and ski/snowboard experience at an intermediate level is a plus. The job requires performing general janitorial duties, maintaining restrooms, lobbies, and dining areas, and ensuring a clean and welcoming environment.

Requirements

  • Professional cleaning experience preferred.
  • Employment for this job is contingent upon the successful completion of a background check.
  • Communicate both verbally and non-verbally in a positive, guest-friendly manner.
  • Report to work timely, dressed, and prepared for your daily assignment.
  • Adhere to all safety policies.
  • Interact and maintain positive relationships with guests, co-workers, and management consistent with Steamboat Ski & Resort Corporation’s Service Excellence standards.
  • Must be able to read, write, and communicate verbally in the English language.
  • Must be a minimum 18 years of age.
  • Safely lift approximately 30-50 lbs. on a regular basis.
  • Walk, bend over, and stand for long periods of time.
  • Climb stairs while carrying vacuum cleaner and other supplies on a recurring basis.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and meet insurability standards.

Nice To Haves

  • Ski/Snowboard experience at an intermediate ability level is preferred.
  • Professional cleaning experience.

Responsibilities

  • Vacuum, dust, and mop Steamboat Ski and Resort Corporation’s office buildings.
  • Perform general janitorial duties for Steamboat Ski and Resort Corporation office and on-mountain outlets.
  • Interact and maintain positive relationships with guests, co-workers, and management consistent with Steamboat Ski & Resort Corp Service Excellence standards.
  • Provide clean and sanitary restrooms, halls, lobbies, and dining areas, scrubbing and sanitizing fixtures and mopping floors.
  • Vacuum floors, hallways, lobbies, landings, stairways, elevators, and dining areas per schedule.
  • Empty trash in restrooms and lobbies, and shine and clean all chrome and stainless fixtures.
  • Clean all windows and sills of prints, dust, and bugs.
  • Manage keys or key cards for securely unlocking and locking buildings and various venues, as this position has security responsibilities.
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures as well as any regulatory requirements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
