About The Position

Oatfield Estates, located in Milwaukie, is a locally owned and operated senior living community that aims to provide residents with excellent care, a high quality of life, and a sense of belonging, influence, and purpose. It is the first assisted living community in Oregon to earn JCAHO accreditation. As a CNA with Oatfield Estates, you will provide daily care to residents by supporting their daily activities of living, including hygiene assistance, emotional support, monitoring health and behavior changes, and supporting overall resident needs. The role requires genuine interest in supporting residents and team members, valuing and respecting residents, consistent attendance, reliable transportation, proper documentation skills, and excellent communication.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
Oregon-Issued CNA license
6 months CNA/caregiver experience preferred
Speak, read and write English fluently
Value and respect of elderly/assisted living
Have consistent attendance/reliable method of transportation
Ability to correspond and document properly in charts and portal
Excellent oral communication, reading comprehension skills, written communication
Lift up to 50 lbs.
Must be a U.S. citizen and reside within the State of Oregon
Have reliable means of transportation/commuting to work

Responsibilities

Assisting residents with ADLS
Teamwork, cooperation, training & development
Assist clients with personal care, which may include (but not limited to): Bathing/Bathroom Assistance, Morning/Evening Preparations, Morning/Evening Dress and attire
Provide emotional support and encouragement to perform necessary tasks
Monitoring and reporting changes in health, behavior, and overall needs of clients
Maintain a clean, safe and orderly environment for both residents and colleagues
