About The Position
The Town of Tecumseh is accepting resumes for the following student employment positions for the Summer of 2026 in the Community & Recreation Services Department. Day Camp Counsellors are responsible for planning, implementing and supervising various recreation experiences for children ages 5 to 12 years.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a secondary or post-secondary institution with an interest in recreation or childcare field.
- Previous experience in recreation programs and/or programs with children.
- Creativity in program planning.
- Strong oral communication.
- Must possess or obtain Standard First Aid with CPR-C, Automatic External Defibrillator and HIGH FIVE certification prior to their start date.
Nice To Haves
- Knowledge of Town of Tecumseh Health and Safety policies and procedures.
- Knowledge of WHMIS.
- Experience working with children.
- Related education courses in childhood development.
