About The Position

This position involves providing friendly and courteous service to customers. A new hire can expect to perform major responsibilities such as placing customer purchases into bags, placing filled bags in carts, and carrying customer purchases to their cars. The role also includes retrieving carts from the parking lot, picking up debris in and around the store, stocking bags, emptying trash, sweeping and mopping floors, and returning merchandise to shelves. Additional duties may be assigned by store management.

Requirements

• 18 yrs+ to apply
• Regular, reliable attendance is an essential function of the job.
• Must be able to push 3 to 5 carts at a time
• Able to work outside in seasonal weather
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
• Working on feet for entire shift (4-8 hours)
• Minimum of six months employment with Schnucks preferred (for Store/Facility Teammates)
• Minimum of one year employment with Schnucks preferred (for Store Support Center Teammates)
• Must be in good standing (not on a performance improvement plan or active discipline)
• If invited for an interview, must have manager approval based on performance.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly and courteous service to customers
• Place customers’ purchases into bags
• Place filled bags in cart
• Carry customers purchase to cars
• Retrieve carts from parking lot
• Pick up paper and debris in the store, from parking lot, and from carts
• Stock bags on check stands
• Empty trash from check stands and service center
• Sweep and mop floors
• Return merchandise left at check-out to shelves
• Read and understand shelf tags
• Verify prices of merchandise
