About The Position
Geotab is seeking a DataOps Developer Intern to join the Data and Analytics team. This role will involve contributing to the organization's growth and supporting data operations solutions. The intern will focus on building enterprise services, applications, and tools for Geotab’s data operation solution, including developing data pipelines using Python and Airflow, and collaborating with Data Engineering and Data Science teams.
Requirements
- Completing a Bachelor/Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related fields.
- Good experience with Python programming.
- Hands-on experience with SQL and writing queries
- Excellent knowledge of Advanced SQL working with large data sets.
- Highly organized, willingness to learn, and able to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in Google BigQuery
- Experience with Apache Airflow
- Experience with database design and writing queries
Responsibilities
- Perform software development and support of Airflow pipelines in Python, using SQL
- Understand the performance impact of the code, API use, and scalability.
- Actively participate in design discussions and document requirements and technical design.
- Perform quality assurance analysis by ensuring coding standards are followed, looking for logic errors, and other bugs.
- Analyze log files and performance data to troubleshoot and identify root cause of bugs.
