About The Position

Entarian is seeking a Database Management Analyst to join their team as part of the Maintenance Figure of Merit (MFOM) system and software engineering support project which will support the United States Navy. This role involves providing senior database administration and engineering for MFOM application and infrastructure environments, including database design, implementation, testing, maintenance, and upgrades. The analyst will plan and coordinate database changes, assess impacts, establish and maintain security measures, investigate incidents, and support database modernization and integration with cloud-hosted platforms. This is a key-personnel role requiring technical leadership and clear communication with stakeholders and program leadership.

Requirements

  • Active US Top Secret level clearance with SCI eligibility
  • Master’s or Bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum 10 years experience with a Master's degree, or minimum 14 years experience with a Bachelor's degree in administering, testing and implementing computer databases, including security measures and database maintenance within an application area.
  • DoD 8570/8140 Level III certification
  • Oracle certification
  • SQL certification

Nice To Haves

  • Senior experience with Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server, database architecture, performance and capacity management, backup/recovery, high availability, and data security.
  • Familiarity with AWS RDS or comparable managed database services, database migration, application interfaces, and controlled production releases.
  • Demonstrated technical leadership, mentoring, incident response, and ability to explain database risks and tradeoffs.
  • Experience leading database modernization, migration, or performance-improvement efforts in a mission-critical environment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide senior database administration and engineering for MFOM application and infrastructure environments, including database design, implementation, testing, maintenance, and upgrades.
  • Plan and coordinate database changes; assess impacts to applications, interfaces, data integrity, performance, security, and release schedules.
  • Establish and maintain database security measures and operational practices; investigate incidents and guide resolution of complex database issues.
  • Coordinate database development and sustainment with software, systems, infrastructure, cybersecurity, and Government stakeholders; maintain clear technical documentation.
  • Support database modernization and integration with cloud-hosted platforms and other MFOM systems as assigned.
  • Provide key-personnel continuity and technical leadership for database operations and changes.
  • Coordinate cross-team planning and communicate database risks, status, and recommendations to program leadership.
