We are seeking a skilled Database Infrastructure Engineer to join our team in Atlanta, GA. This role is responsible for the design, configuration, provisioning, and management of hardware and software configurations, with a focus on Azure Cloud services and Windows Servers. The engineer will ensure compliance with data governance and State data privacy regulations, manage user permissions, and design, implement, and monitor automated database jobs, maintenance tasks, and ETL workflows. A key aspect of this role involves writing and maintaining robust scripts using SSIS and PowerShell to automate routine DBA tasks, deployments, backups, and health checks. The engineer will also proactively monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks, optimize queries, manage indexing strategies, and resolve hardware, software, and network issues. Maintaining and testing disaster recovery (DR) strategies and failover testing is crucial, as is providing 24/7 support for mission-critical systems. Collaboration with cross-functional IT teams to support application development and data integration through application environment configuration, IIS administration, and the implementation of security and performance best practices is also a core responsibility.
