Enterprise - Database Engineer - Oracle, Mongo, SQL
About The Position
Erias Ventures is seeking a Database Engineer to provide technical expertise for database design, development, implementation, information storage and retrieval, data flow and analysis. This role involves developing or maintaining database structures to fit into the overall architecture of the system, creating new workflows, and providing break/fix support and updates. The engineer will lead the development of database structures, database parser software, and database loading software. Additionally, the position supports the development and testing of Python-based ReST endpoints, microservices, and data model management capabilities using Django and Flask frameworks to interact with data models like MariaDB, MongoDB, and PostgreSQL. The role also requires supporting the development of long and short-term requirements for database administration and design.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university is required.
- Five (5) years of additional DBE experience may be substituted for a Bachelor’s degree.
- Familiarity with relational and non-relational databases to include but not limited to Oracle, Postgres, Mongo and Redis.
- Experience with SQL and the associated tools (SQL Developer, etc…)
- A current Top-Secret/SCI with polygraph security clearance is required.
- Candidates cannot be sponsored or nominated for a government security clearance under this position.

Responsibilities

- Create new workflows to take over existing processes as needed.
- Provide break/fix requests or updates.
- Lead development of database structures, database parser software, and database loading software.
- Support the development and test of various Python based ReST end points, microservices, and data model management capabilities utilizing Django and Flask frameworks to interact with data models such as mariaDB, MongoDB, and PostgreSQL and send data upon request, in JSON format, to UI front ends.
- Support the development of long and short-term requirements for database administration and design.
