As a Project Engineering Manager II on the project, you will: Administer, maintain, and optimize enterprise Oracle database environments hosted on AWS Relational Database Service (RDS) and related infrastructure to ensure high availability, security, and performance. Perform database monitoring, performance tuning, capacity planning, and troubleshooting across production and non-production environments, resolving issues with minimal operational impact. Implement and manage Oracle backup, recovery, disaster recovery, and business continuity solutions, ensuring data integrity and compliance with mission requirements. Enforce database security controls, including user access management, auditing, encryption, and UNIX/Linux OS security hardening in accordance with federal and organizational security policies. Support database upgrades, patching, migrations, and lifecycle management activities while maintaining system stability and availability. Develop and optimize Oracle PL/SQL code, stored procedures, and database objects to improve application performance and support evolving business requirements. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future
  • Active TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance required
  • 8+ years of experience administering and supporting Oracle databases, including installation, configuration, performance tuning, backup/recovery, and troubleshooting in enterprise environments.
  • 5+ years of experience working with AWS Relational Database Service (RDS) and cloud-hosted database solutions, including migration, maintenance, and performance optimization.
  • 5+ years of experience securing and administering UNIX/Linux operating systems, including system hardening, vulnerability remediation, and compliance with security requirements.
  • Must be willing to work onsite 5 days a week in Chantilly, VA

Nice To Haves

  • Current CompTIA SecurityX (formerly CASP+) certification
  • Experience developing and maintaining Unix Shell Scripts to automate database administration and operational tasks
  • Knowledge of Oracle Real Application Clusters (RAC)/Oracle RDB and advanced Oracle database architectures.
  • Experience with Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) for monitoring, administration, and performance analysis.
  • Experience using Ansible or similar infrastructure automation tools for configuration management and deployment activities.
  • Familiarity with Oracle architecture analytics, database health assessments, and performance optimization methodologies.
