About The Position

This position is for a Database Administrator with a Florida Government Agency. The role involves daily operational and database administration activities, planning, designing, implementing, and supporting database structures. The administrator will also be responsible for performance monitoring and tuning, developing and maintaining documentation, performing SQL code reviews, and assisting with training other technical staff. The role is expected to last from ASAP until June 2027 with the possibility of renewal.

Requirements

  • 15 years combined experience in database administration for DB2 for z/OS
  • 15 years combined experience in database administration for SQL Server 2008R2, 2012
  • 15 years combined experience in database administration for Oracle 10g and above
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field. Or equivalent work experience.

Responsibilities

  • Daily operational and database administration activities
  • Plan, design, implement, support for database structures
  • Conduct database performance monitoring and tuning
  • Develop and maintain database administration procedures and documentation
  • Perform SQL Code reviews
  • Assist with training/mentoring other technical staff
  • Perform other database or infrastructure activities as requested
