About The Position

As a database administrator with a solid background in SQL, you know how to manage and secure database technology. At Booz Allen, you can use those skills to improve the database technology supporting the war fighter. On our team, you’ll constantly look for ways to implement database tuning and performance optimization. You’ll provide your client with peace of mind as you contribute to and assist with developing policies and procedures to ensure the security and integrity of the database. You’ll use technology and tools to identify problem areas and opportunities for improvement in a mission-critical database. In this role, you’ll closely impact the war fighter by turning data into meaningful information. With your technical experience, mentoring, and opportunities to learn new tools and skills, we’ll focus on growing as a team to make the best solutions for our customers. Requirements

3+ years of experience administering cloud database platforms such as AWS RDS, Azure SQL, and Google Cloud SQL
Experience in SQL, including writing complex queries, stored procedures, and performance tuning
Experience monitoring database performance and troubleshooting issues
Experience with ETL processes and data pipeline concepts
Knowledge of database security practices, including user roles, permissions, and data protection
Secret clearance
Bachelor's degree
Ability to obtain a DoD 8570 IAT Level II or IAT Level III Certification within 30 days of hire date

Nice To Haves

Experience designing and maintaining high-volume data ingestion pipelines
Experience building scalable ETL / ELT workflows and data transformation pipelines
Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation
Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and tools
