Database Administrator / Database Engineer II
About The Position
Everforth ECS is seeking a Database Administrator / Database Engineer II to work in its Maxwell-Gunter Annex, Alabama office as part of the Facility Equipment Maintenance (FEM) Team. The role designs, maintains, and optimizes database systems to support high availability, security, and performance. It manages data models, implements backup and recovery strategies, develops queries, and supports application teams with reliable, scalable database solutions across the enterprise. The selected candidate must communicate effectively in writing and verbally, have strong interpersonal skills, and be self-motivated and innovative in a fast-paced environment. The position requires an active Secret Clearance that the candidate must hold and maintain.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree.
- Active Secret Clearance, which must be held and maintained.
- At least 4 years of relevant experience.
- DoD 8140 Code 421 Intermediate Qualifications.
- Experience or skills in logical and physical data modeling, schema design, SQL/PL/SQL, ETL, data conversion and migration, reconciliation and record-count validation, data quality and integrity, and query optimization.
- Knowledge of Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Azure SQL, and Amazon RDS.
- Effective written and verbal communication, strong interpersonal skills, self-motivation, and innovation in a fast-paced environment.
