Requirements

• One year as a Database Analyst or Information Technology Generalist 2 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration)
• Five years of information technology experience that includes two years in the analysis, design, and maintenance of databases in overall support of database administration
• Three years of information technology experience that includes two years in the analysis, design, and maintenance of databases in overall support of database administration, and an associate’s degree in any information technology field
• One year of information technology experience in the analysis, design, and maintenance of databases in overall support of database administration, and a bachelor's degree in any information technology field
• An equivalent combination of experience and training
• Meet the PA residency requirement
• Be able to perform essential job functions
• Pass a background investigation and meet Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) compliance requirements

Responsibilities

• Support database structure planning and development to meet application needs
• Create and maintain data models and dictionaries to ensure consistency and accuracy
• Monitor and tune database performance to improve reliability and efficiency
• Administer access controls and apply security standards to protect sensitive data
• Develop processes to extract, transform, and load data between systems
• Assist with deployments, upgrades, and troubleshooting across database environments
