About The Position
Accenture Federal Services is seeking a Database Administrator to join their team and support their client in San Antonio, TX. This role involves managing and optimizing both relational and NoSQL databases, ensuring high performance and reliability across platforms such as PostgreSQL and MongoDB. The administrator will design robust schemas, tune queries, and implement best practices for data storage and retrieval. Key responsibilities include modernizing and consolidating complex data architectures, leading initiatives to migrate data models and streamline storage solutions, and safeguarding data integrity and security through advanced security protocols like Kerberos authentication, TLS encryption, and role-based access controls. Additionally, the role requires establishing comprehensive backup and disaster recovery strategies, ensuring observability and operational excellence, and monitoring database performance to proactively optimize systems for maximum uptime and reliability. Collaboration with cross-functional teams to align database solutions with organizational objectives and technical requirements is also a crucial aspect of this position.
Requirements
- 3 years of experience working with distributed data systems and large-scale storage technologies
- Experience with Accumulo
- DoD 8140 compliance (e.g. Security+, CISSP, CASP, etc.) or ability to obtain within 6 months
- Must have an active TS/SCI level clearance
