Responsibilities

  • Serve as the principal BI and visualization authority, owning end-to-end dashboard design patterns, accessibility and usability standards, data-to-visual mapping, and visual QA processes.
  • Design and deliver BI solutions using platforms such as Power BI, Tableau, Kibana, and Databricks Dashboards.
  • Author governed semantic models, calculation logic, and BI-ready datasets sourced from Lakehouse tables and Databricks SQL Warehouses; implement row- and column-level security and governed tags via Unity Catalog.
  • Establish patterns for incremental refresh, Direct Query or Live connections, and aggregation tables to balance freshness, performance, and cost.
  • Partner with Data Engineering to enforce medallion architecture conventions and ensure upstream tables and views meet BI performance and governance requirements, including schema stability and expectations or quality checks.
