About the Family & Social Services Administration (FSSA):The Bureau of Disabilities Services (BDS) supports individuals with disabilities, including intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD), to live their best life through community support and residential services that are delivered using an individualized, person-centered approach where all people have equal access and opportunity to realize their good life. BDS is responsible for the quality oversight of the BDS’ home and community-based waivers that serve over 40,000 individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, traumatic brain injuries, and other disabilities. Role Overview: The Data Support Specialist fulfills a critical role in supporting the Bureau of Disabilities Services (BDS) programs through comprehensive data oversight and analysis. You will manage the statewide program data and ensure its alignment with federal and programmatic requirements under 42 CFR 441 and 460 IAC 6 and 7, 405 IAC 1 and 2. The Data Support Specialist leads the collection, analysis, and reporting of complex data sets to support compliance with the established requirements. The role includes coordination of federally required data submissions, development and oversight of quarterly performance metrics, and the identification of targeted technical assistance needs based on data outcomes. You will stay current with evolving federal guidance to inform decision-making and improve system performance statewide.
