About The Position

Aerostar Environmental and Construction (AEC), a Bristol Bay Construction Holdings LLC (BBCH) company, is growing! We are seeking a fast-paced, proactive Data Specialist III who excels in their area of expertise to join AEC. In this key role, you'll manage analytical data in our environmental EQuIS database and coordinate with project managers on environmental data deliverables to meet project schedules. Your knowledge of databases could contribute to the success of our state and federal environmental programs. This position has the opportunity to work in our Florida (Jacksonville) or Nebraska (Omaha) office.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in data management or a similar science degree is required
  • At least 3 years of experience as a data manager or scientist using Earthsoft EQuIS
  • Must possess an understanding of relational databases, including the core EQuIS Schema
  • Experience with databases and/or environmental data management software, including Access, EQuIS, EQuIS Collect, EQuIS SPM and/or EQuIS DQM are required
  • Experience with designing and publishing Macro-Enabled Excel worksheets
  • Experience with designing and publishing EQuIS RDLs (Report Definition Language) reports
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously effectively and efficiently with precision and adapt to changes in responsibilities and workloads
  • Must be able to coordinate and work well with our team members
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • As a condition of employment, you may be required to pass a pre-employment drug screening and have acceptable references and background check results

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of Department of Defense databases, including FUDSChem, ERPIMS, and NIRIS, is desirable.
  • Experience with common code languages used in EarthSoft EQuIS such as SQL and JSON.

Responsibilities

  • Work with project teams to coordinate data collection, data tracking, and reporting (Earthsoft EQuIS) while keeping to project schedules, scopes, and budgets
  • Track project deliverables, review laboratory sample receipt logins, and perform quality checks
  • Collaborate with the database administrator to ensure that the EQuIS database runs efficiently and securely
  • Run, modify, design, or develop reports and queries to ensure data quality and accuracy
  • Coordinate with Earthsoft on technical database inquiries
  • Support data system design, field data collection, data processing, and data reporting
  • Respond to client data requests
  • Author and manage data submission packages for federal programs (e.g., EPA, NDAA), ensuring all deliverables meet required specifications and regulatory standards. Coordinate with project managers and field staff on field data collection issues and act as a point-of-contact on analytical data matters for the project team and analytical laboratories throughout the project lifecycle
