About The Position

Over the last 47 years, Gastops has built a robust business which is recognized worldwide for its innovative contributions to equipment health management in the aviation, energy, marine, industrial and transportation industries. Gastops’ products and services add value throughout the life cycle of complex critical equipment from the design stage through to in-service operations and support. We design, manufacture, and support advanced equipment sensing and analysis products, including on-line oil debris sensors, torque measurement sensors, turbine blade health sensors, and at-line oil analysis systems. What You’ll Do: Make direct contact with external customers to provide proactive recommendations and/or feed the recommendations to the appropriate internal contact for communication with the customer (ex: Customer Manager) Own external customer relationships for different market segments (ex: Turboshaft) Provide customer presentations on the benefits of the Oil Analysis Technology  Develop & apply data science methodologies in organization, including but not limited to: Evaluate and select relevant data sources for the task. Perform exploratory analysis & visualization on data. Use unsupervised ML techniques to identify emerging patterns in the data. Correlate data features with know engine hardware condition. Work with engineering specialists to validate insights. Gather, prepare & verify sample training labels. Develop and maintain predictive ML based and statistical models (classification, outlier detection, etc.) Develop & maintain code libraries & tools. Develop & maintain business data applications: Cloud based data processing & model inference Web based data exploration/visualization applications  Collaborate with different departments (IT, Engineering, aftermarket, the business, etc.) to develop valuable solutions and drive complex projects to completion  Log successes generated by the team and quantify business impact on the P&WC customer service organization Please note that this job description is not meant to be an all-inclusive statement of every duty and responsibility that will ever be required of an employee in the job.

Requirements

  • Understanding of turbomachines
  • Experience in exploratory data analysis & visualization
  • Experience in machine Learning model development
  • Fluency in the Python programming language, its data ecosystem and object-oriented programming.

  • Aerospace experience
  • Experience in software development process (git/GitHub, unit testing, documentation, etc.)
  • Experience with the Plotly Dash framework
  • Experience with SQL
  • Experience in cloud-based development (AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • Experience in one of more of the following fields: Mechanical, Aerospace or Materials engineering Operation, maintenance or repair or aircraft engines
  • Customer interface experience and front-line support
  • Experience with ICA documentation, drawings and specification interpretation
