Join the Advanced Leads and Insights team of Cat Digital and perform analytical tasks and initiatives on huge amounts of data to support data-driven business decision and development. This is a rare and exciting opportunity to join a team building a new digital product from scratch! This role will be tasked with collaborating with senior team members to build backend data infrastructure and performing extensive data validation using mature techniques as well as leveraging AI.

Requirements

Working knowledge of effective presentation tools and techniques to ensure clear understanding; ability to use summarization and simplification techniques to explain complex technical concepts in simple, clear language appropriate to the audience.
Working knowledge of the extraction, transformation and loading (ETL) process; ability to develop a database through the ETL process.
Extensive understanding the necessity and value of accuracy; ability to complete tasks with high levels of precision.
Working knowledge of techniques and tools that promote effective analysis; ability to determine the root cause of organizational problems and create alternative solutions that resolve these problems.
Working knowledge of principles, technologies and algorithms of machine learning; ability to develop, implement and deliver related systems, products and services.
Working knowledge of basic concepts and capabilities of applying Python programming to solve business challenges; ability to use tools, techniques and platforms in order to write and modify programming languages.
Advanced knowledge of data management systems; experience using SQL to join multiple large datasets.

Nice To Haves

Typically, a Bachelors or Masters degree in Applied Statistics, Data Science, Business Analytics, Predictive Analytics, Business Intelligence & Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering (Aerospace, Electrical, Mechanical, Computer, Industrial, Agricultural, etc.), or equivalent technical degree.
In-depth technical and problem-solving skills and evidence of continuous learning in the analytics field; demonstrated interest in using AI solutions to solve business challenges
Understanding of information management concepts such as controlled vocabularies, authority control, data modeling, and schema design.
Strong understanding of data governance, metadata management, data quality, data modeling, and data architecture concepts
Snowflake and other business intelligence experience
Working knowledge with cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, etc.)
Ability to work collaboratively in a complex, rapidly changing, and culturally diverse environment.
Experience with version control / repositories such as GitHub
Must demonstrate strong initiative, interpersonal skills, and the ability to communicate effectively; demonstrated ability to work independently to identify data inconsistencies and recommend corrective action
